Dr Luko Masungi is an accomplished clinical development leader with over 22 years of experience spanning pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, and academic sectors. She brings expertise in immunology, oncology, cell and gene therapy, infectious and rare diseases, having led global research programs from early R&D, preclinical through Phase I, II, II and IV clinical studies. Dr Masungi has a proven record in advancing transformative therapies, securing orphan and breakthrough designations, and managing complex international regulatory submissions.​

She earned her PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, and a Business Management Certificate. She brings a global outlook to patient-centric clinical research, and is multi-lingual (English, French, Dutch and 3 African languages).
